Empowering aligned leaders & creating equitable futures
Grounding leadership in authenticity
I’m an employment lawyer empowering other millennial leaders who are frustrated with outdated, dysfunctional models of success that are antithetical to true human and organizational flourishing. I spent my early career contorting myself into the shape of what I had been taught a “good lawyer” should be, before I came to recognize that this rigid pathway to achievement was out of step with what I knew to be most important to me. Drained by years of a performative version of leadership that felt hollow, I reclaimed my own power and now inspire others to do the same. It took me years to stand in my current leadership philosophy, which is rooted in helping individuals and organizations work in ways that feel meaningful, sustainable, and authentic to their own identities.
Architecting fair workplaces
In my legal practice, this looks like working with corporations to guide them as they imagine and actualize more human-centered environments. Whether it’s rewriting a compliance program from top to bottom, leading a complicated investigation into sensitive and high-level misconduct, or resolving a high-profile crisis in a way that balances accountability and fairness, I use my expertise to help create conscientious and equitable professional climates. Amidst shifting cultural values, I help employers find their footing as they seek to become more respectful, inclusive, diverse, and ultimately, safe workplaces.
Authentically Me
I graduated from Duke University and Howard University School of Law. My life is centered in Washington, D.C., but make no mistake: I’m an Atlanta girl at heart. When I’m not knee-deep in the quest to design and maintain psychologically hospitable workplaces, you can catch me celebrating and soaking in the dynamic cultures of both DC and ATL, championing causes that tackle education inequalities, or sharpening my skills as an amateur floral designer.
